Simply put, “Do unto others as you would like them to do unto you.”

The Golden Rule is sometimes called “ethics of reciprocity”, meaning that people should reciprocate and treat others how they would like to be treated.

It is common to all religions and has been around for thousands of years.

It is a powerful principle that can transform human existence because it operates in every facet of our lives. The Golden Rule encourages us to act with our community, or the other person, in mind, and not out of self-interest.

Can you imagine a world where the well-being of others was everyone’s priority? Where there was true justice for everyone? Where profit and greed were not a part of our everyday lives? These are a few of the goals of the Golden Rule.

There is enough in this world for everyone. There is an abundance. The problem is, that it is not equally divided, not shared, leaving some in poverty. Some people believe they never have enough.

If we followed the Golden Rule we would live in a world of peace, not just the absence of war, but the absence of poverty, hunger, and crime.

It’s Simple but…
