So Much for Curation Communication
When change happens, things don’t always go as planned. Events unfold, unravel a bit, and it takes a concerted effort to put Humpty Dumpty back together again.
This situation seems to be the case here.
I took my article down, worked it out and was confident I had a curation-worthy piece.
Since I was republishing, I thought it might be best to bring it to the curators’ attention. It never hurts to ask, and the worst they could say is “no.”
The reply was swift but confusing. It was from the “help” @medium.com. I was sure I’d sent it to “your friends” @medium.com.
“It must be me,” I thought, so I went to my sent e-mail folder to check. Then I double-checked. And triple checked.
I wasn’t wrong.
Medium is undergoing significant changes. Perhaps the e-mail address had changed. I e-mailed the “help” this time to request the new address.
The reply was swift and a bit of a blow.
Suffice to say; I am no longer confused, just a bit discouraged. I suspect this is related to the changes Medium has implemented this last week and that they are working to resolve whatever issues they’re having.
New systems take time to learn and have glitches. And glitches require an “all hands on deck” type of effort to get them corrected.
I have faith everyone at Medium is working hard, and it will all work out.
I’m not criticizing, just sending out good vibes for a quick resolution.
But please hurry!
