Sounds like an ex-friend. I suspected she was a narcissist, but your description of the parent belittling her confirms my suspicion. She used to go on rants about being intelligent and dealing with facts. This happened a few times when I paraphrased something she said incorrectly or inexactly. Not sure why she cut me off as she more-or-less ghosted me. What’s freaky is that on occasion, one in particular, she started acting like we were still friends, trying to work her way into a group of people I was with for an evening out. I ignored her attempts. We are done.
